| SAHAJEEVANA CENTRE |

This is a project that is initiated to transform the global
society into agents of peace through individuals. It will comprise an
Interactive Learning Centre for Peace Education and Conflict Resolution and a
Peace Museum. The Sahajeevana Centre will document the history of ethnic
violence in Sri Lanka and the root causes to this vicious cycle of conflict in
print and audio-visual formats. It will also provide the learners with all the
necessary multimedia resources for peace education. The ultimate goal of this
project is bring about an attitudinal change among people for an enlightened

No to Violence is a timely peace campaign launched by the civil society organizations in Sri Lanka to promote
the principles of non-violence in the society. It does not seek to oppress or humiliate the oponent instead
it advocates friendship and understanding of the other. This campaign expresses the willingness to accept
suffering without retaliation and to follow the nonviolent path. Its aim is to build a society that adheres to
